If the lender follows these procedures, it is not permitted to initiate foreclosure on the Wedding Loan until the distressed condition has been cured. A lender is obligated to notify a borrower of Wedding Loan servicing actions, and it must follow procedures outlined in that notice when attempting to cure the distressed status of the loan.
