Suboxone, an opioid addiction treatment medication, is becoming increasingly popular as a way to manage and control opioid addiction. It is a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) that combines two drugs, buprenorphine and naloxone, to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms associated with opioid addiction. Suboxone works by binding to the same receptors in the brain as opioids, but with a much weaker effect. This helps to decrease withdrawal symptoms and cravings without producing the same high associated with opioid use.
