It is a hilly lake in the Saiful Muluk National Paek, near the town of Naran, at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley. The lake is one of Pakistan’s highest lakes, standing at 3,224 meters (10,578 ft) above sea level and above the tree line.
Location:
Saiful Muluk is a town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mansehra district, about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) north of Naran, in the northern portion of the Kaghan Valley. Near the lake lies Malika Parbat, the valley’s tallest peak. During the summer, the lake is accessible from the adjacent town of Naran, but access is limited during the winter since severe snowfall and landslides threaten to block the lake off from other areas.
