Autoantibody Array www.antibody-creativebiolabs.comban site
A particular kind of protein microarray is an antibody array. In this method, capture antibodies are spotted on glass slides or membranes, where they bind to particular target proteins found in the sample. Chemiluminescence or a laser scanner are used to see the proteins that have been captured. The amount of analyte bound determines how much of a signal is generated. For the simultaneous detection of human IgG autoantibodies present in blood serum samples of common 10 autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis, primary biliary cirrhosis, etc., the Autoimmune Disease IgG Autoantibody Array contains 33 human proteins and double strand DNA (dsDNA).
