A simple 44 matrix is used for the 2048 game, and the numbered tiles slide as the player moves them with one of the four bolt keys. Every turn, a random tile with a value of either 2 or 4 appears in an empty space on the board. Tiles slide farther than most people would anticipate being possible in the chosen course until they encounter another tile or the edge of the lattice.
